
Victorian, circa 1900. 3.7ins high, 18.7ins wide, 12ins depth. Unidentified French Majolica model which features an opened nature book. Butterflies which are all individually modelled and decorated, are rested on the pages.
Colouration: cream, green, cobalt blue, are predominant.

CONDITION: Generally good. Glue residue to the underside, from previous mounting onto a board.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack running through the underside and up on to the front left pages.
