Pair Minton Majolica Crocus Vases

Pair of Minton Majolica vases which feature crocus flowers, sprouting from three bulb feet.

Turquoise ground version. Colouration: white, green, pink, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1900'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.

Condition

Vase 1: Fair. KILN EFFECTS: a few shrinkage cracks to the leaves.

RESTORATION. Remodelled rim section.

Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.

Many filled and retouched chips to rim, flowers and leaves.

Vase 2: Fair. A few Small flakes to some of the leaves.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.

Many filled and retouched chips and flakes to rim, leaves and flowers.
