WMF Maiden and Serpent Visiting Card Tray

Circa 1910. 9.75ins long, 3ins high.

WMF Art Noveau visiting card tray. Decorated with a maiden resting in front of a lily pad, a serpent lays before her.

Maker's marks including raised pattern number, '249' and impressed 'B', 'ox' and WMF ostrich logo.

Illustrated on page 168, catalogue number 249, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.

Condition

Generally good. No restoration. A small dig to one flower petal.

Some slight indentations to interior.

Scratches from use to front and reverse.
