Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with cardboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye.
Floral border.
Colours blues, cream, red, yellow, black, pink, greens and browns.
Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-9.
Verse reads
'Sincerity is to speak as we think to do as we pretend
and profefs to perform and make good what we
promise; and really to be what we woulb seem anb
appear to be.'
