Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass. Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout.

Colours black, green, brown and cream. Text which is entitled 'TWELVE GOOD RULES FOUND IN THE STUDY OF KING CHARLES THE FIRST OF BLESSED MEMORY',

A few patchy stains.
Some stitch losses to the signature and verse.
Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.
No colour run. Stretching is slightly uneven.
Frame in very good condition, ready to hang.
