Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.

The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout.

Meandering strawberry border.

Colours green, blue, yellow, light brown, dark brown, purple, red and pink.

Signed and dated,

'Anne Niven 1825'.

A good set of motifs, including potted flowering plants,

flowers

CONDITION: Generally good.

No holes.

Some staining to the centre.

Stitch losses to the divider lines,

motifs

and signature.

Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.

Very slight colour run around the red threads.

Stretching is slightly uneven.

Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
