George III, dated 1792. 17.5ins high by 7.75ins wide. 1792 Band Sampler.

Framed in an old frame with glass.

Fixed to board.

The sampler is worked in a silk-like thread on canvas ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye.

Simple line border.

Colours greens, cream, pale blue, black, pink, white and browns.

Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-10.

Family initials.

Dated '1792'.

A good set of motifs, including a lion,

heart,

flowers,

birds

and a dog.

CONDITION: Good.

No holes.

No stains other than slight uniform age darkening of the ground.

Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.
