Stitched to card.
The embroidery is very finely worked in a variety of silks on a silk ground, in a variety of stitches.
Colours cream, blue, red, yellow, green, brown and grey.
Features two figures standing in a landscape, a castle in the background.
Deep relief laurel surround with floral motifs to the spandrels.
CONDITION: Generally Good.
A few stitch holes to the extreme edges.
One pale stain to skirt.
Some stitch losses to the castle.
Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.
No colour run.
Unevenly stretched.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
