Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre 'Leapfrogging Elves' Melba Cup

Circa 1920. 3.2ins high 4.5ins wide. Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Melba Cup decorated with the 'Leapfrogging Elves' design, on black ground to the exterior.

'Elves on a Branch' design, on mother of pearl ground to interior. 'Pebble and grass' border to the foot rim.

'Portland Vase' backstamp and pattern number, 'Z4968' to the underside.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight rubbing to gilt.

Glaze pops to exterior.

RESTORATION: Stabilized and retouched crack to rim.

Very tight, stabilised hairline to rim.
