Pair Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre 'Butterfly Women' trumpet vases

Circa 1920. 9.5ins high, 4.75ins wide. Pair Wedgwood Lustreware Fairyland 'Butterfly Women' vases, shape number 2810. The vases are decorated in the Butterfly woman pattern, which features fairies perched on a branch, on a black ground. The inside of the rim is decorated in the floating fairies pattern, which features a leaf border and elfish creatures riding birds and butterflies. Mother of pearl ground.


















Wedgwood Portland Vase maker's mark and pattern number 'Z4968' to underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. No restoration. Minor rubbing to gilt.















Scratches to the interior, which start approximately 6cm down the opening, making them hard to see.





KILN EFFECTS: some glaze run.









Speck of kiln grit on the rim.



Vase 2: Good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt (more so than other vase).
