Staffordshire seated Irish setter

Victorian, circa 1860. 10.7ins high, 6.1ins wide, 3.2ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features an Irish Setter, seated on a scroll work base. Dull gilt embellishment.









Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.



Condition

Good. Rubbing to gilt.





Some wear to tail and base.





KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to left eye and under left front leg;





kiln soot caught in the glaze;



small touch mark to dog's side.



RESTORATION: very minor retouched paint losses.
