Staffordshire Pearlware 'Mower' figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.5ins high, 2.6ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a man holding a scythe, stood on a square base.





The piece is titled, 'Mower' .



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.







Vent hole to the underside.


Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

A few chips to bocage







and underside base edge.





Some flakes to left hand,



clothing and ground.







Paint losses to shoes.



Some wear to base corners.







KILN EFFECTS: small firing hole to left leg.



RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to bocage,
