Staffordshire 'Garibaldi at home' figure
Victorian, circa 1860. 10.2ins high, 5.4ins wide, 4.1ins depth.
Staffordshire figure which features Garibaldi leaning on a shovel, seated on a shaped base. The piece is titled, 'GARIBALDI AT HOME'.
Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Maker's marks painted to the underside.
Condition
Good. Flake to his spade.
KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to underside;
firing crack to the reverse of his right leg;
shrinkage line along the mold join.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to ground,
hair and clothing.
