Small Staffordshire Pearlware 'Dandies' bocage group
Pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 3.9ins high, 3.5ins wide, 1.9ins depth.
Staffordshire pearlware bocage group which features a lady and gentleman, stood on a round hollow base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Condition
Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front and reverse;
a few small glaze misses;
shrinkage line to their ankles.
RESTORATION: Three filled chips to bocage.
Two sections of base reglued and join retouched.
Lady's head reglued and join retouched.
Retouched flakes to her face and to their hats.
