Staffordshire Pottery Pearlware Deer with bocage figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 5.5ins high, 4.5ins wide, 2.4ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage figure which features a doe in front of a tree, stood on an oval hollow base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Open bottomed.

Condition

Good. No restoration. Small chips to bocage flowers.

Some small flakes to bocage and one to base front.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to hind right leg;

stray coloured glaze to front right leg;

small shrinkage crack behind right ear.
