Large Pair Staffordshire Pottery Spaniels - White & Gilt

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 14.2ins high, 10.2ins wide, 5.1ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Dull gilt embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Right facing: Good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;

flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse;

slight staining.

Left facing: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to muzzle and eyes.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.
