pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 6.7ins high, 3ins wide, 3.9ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure which features a girl reading a book, seated on a rectangular base.

The piece is titled, 'COTTAGE GIRL' .

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Generally good. Small chips to base edge.

Some small flakes to her book, hair, cheeks and base edge.

RESTORATION. Head reglued and join retouched.

Stabilised and retouched hairline to her right arm.

Filled chip to hairpiece.
