
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 4.5ins high, 3.7ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a russet and white spaniel, seated on a shaped base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small chip to underside base edge at reverse.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a speck of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base front;
small firing pit to base front.
Left facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join to one side.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to russet markings.
