
Victorian, circa 1860. 6ins high, 6.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a French hen with her seven chicks. One of the chicks is perched on her back, the others peep out from underneath, resting on a shaped base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Dish: Generally good. Small chip to inner rim.
KILN EFFECT: touch mark to one chick.
RESTORATION: Reglued chip to outer rim.
Cover: Good. No restoration. Two small chips to underside.
