Pair Staffordshire flower basket spaniels

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.5ins high, 5.9ins wide, 2.8ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a spaniel with a flower basket in its mouth, seated directly on the ground, no base.

White and gilt version. Dull gilt embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Left facing: Good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join.

Right facing: Generally good. No restoration. Small flake to basket.

Paint losses to muzzle.

Some rubbing to gilt.
