
Victorian, circa 1860. 9.4ins high, 7.9ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery clock group with a royalty theme which features a lion and a unicorn supporting a crown, stood on an oval base.
Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.
Maker's marks painted to the underside.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to flowers and crown.
Gilt almost entirely rubbed away.
Slight wear to both tail's and lion's mouth.
KILN EFFECTS: piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle; kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base;
fleck of stray coloured glaze to the reverse;
shrinkage crack to the scroll on base.
