
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 3.7ins high, 6.3ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Wood family Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure which features a dog/hound, recumbent on a shaped base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
CONDITION: Fair. Flakes and chips to leaves, flowers, shredded clay and ground.
Paint losses to ground.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the hound's back.
RESTORATION. Muzzle, head, both front legs and section of base reglued and joins retouched.
