Large Pair Staffordshire pottery poodles

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 10.6ins high, 7.3ins wide, 4.7ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a poodle, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Dull gilt embellishment.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent holes to the underside. Maker's marks painted to the underside.

Right facing: Very good. No restoration. Minor paint losses to eyes and paws.

KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to neck.

Left facing: Very good. No restoration. Minor paint losses to muzzle, nose and paws.

KILN EFFECTS: a few stray specks of clay to front and reverse;

shrinkage line on the right leg.
