
Victorian, circa 1860. 4.9ins high, 5.3ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a dog with her pups in a basket,
stood directly on the ground, no base.
Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Tight hairline to dog's front right leg.
A few paint losses to the dog's markings.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the dog's front left ankle.
RESTORATION. Remodelled handle to right side of basket.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to top and right side of basket.
Retouching to one pup's left legs.
