Pair Staffordshire Pottery Spaniels - No.6 Size

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.3ins high, 3ins wide, 2.4ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery dogs which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Russet and white version. Dull gilt collar and locket.

Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Maker's marks no.6 molded into the underside.

Condition

Right facing: Good. Flake to right eyebrow.

Some rubbing to gilt.

RESTORATION. Minor retouched paint loss to paws and markings.

Left facing: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to markings and muzzle.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the spaniel's back.
