
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. Tallest is 6.4ins high, 3.3ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figures with a mythological theme which feature Jupiter with the eagle and Juno with a peacock, stood on a square base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Jupiter: Generally good. Small chip to base side.
Some small flakes to the eagle.
A few paint losses to cloak.
Slight wear and a tiny flake to base edges.
RESTORATION: remodelled tips to lightning in both hands;
head reglued and join retouched;
retouched paint losses to crown.
Juno: Generally good. Some paint losses to clothing and peacock.
KILN EFFECT: small firing hole to base corner.
RESTORATION: remodelled scepter and left hand;
retouched flakes to nose,
headdress at reverse,
crown and robe hem;
retouched paint losses to peacock and base line.
