Pair Staffordshire Pottery Collie Dogs

Victorian, circa 1890. Tallest is 10.8ins high, 11.4ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature Collie dogs, stood directly on the ground, no base. Tan and white version. Bright gilt embellishment.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Condition

Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small flake to reverse of head.

Some paint losses to paws and nose.

Rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to right front and rear legs.

Left facing: Good. No restoration. Some paint losses to paws and nose.

Rubbing to gilt.

Very slight wear to tan markings.
