Pair of Staffordshire Pottery cow creamers with a pastoral theme which feature a cow and milkmaid, stood on a shaped base.
Black and white version. Painted base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small chips to rim of stopper.
Some small flakes to cow's mouth, filler hole, left ear and rim of stopper.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the stopper;
small over glazed chip to lower base edge.
Left facing: Generally good. Small flake to cow's nose.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the black glazes.
RESTORATION. Remodelled stopper.
Filled chips to base edge.
