
pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 3.1ins high, 3ins wide, 1.6ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a cockerel, stood on a circular base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Some small flakes to lower base edge.
A few tiny abrasions to head
and tail.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join underneath cockerel's tail
and also to the underside of the base.
