Staffordshire Pottery Rabbit eating lettuce

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.1ins high, 9.4ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a rabbit, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. A few paint losses to lettuce.

KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the reverse and underside;

flecks of stray coloured glaze;

tiny glaze pops to the right ear and top of head.

RESTORATION. Filled chips to left ear.

Retouched paint loss to eyebrows.
