
Victorian, circa 1860. 5.3ins high, 9.6ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a rabbit eating lettuce leaves,
resting directly on the ground, no base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze fading to areas of the black and green enamels;
tiny glaze pops to the rabbit's face
and back;
flecks of stray coloured glaze rabbit's body;
thin glaze application to rabbit's head and lettuce leaves, the underlying pottery body colour showing through.
RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to rabbit's right ear.
