Pair Staffordshire pottery spaniels, black & white coats

Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel with a curly tail, stood directly on the ground, no base.

Black and white version. Dull gilt collar and locket.

Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Right facing: Good. No restoration. Tight hairline to the reverse.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the spaniel's back.

Left facing: Very good. No restoration. Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the spaniel's chest and below right ear.
