Staffordshire pottery cat figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 8.5ins high, 4.3ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a cat, seated on an oval base.

Dull gilt base line. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good.

Very slight rubbing to gilt.

Slight wear to ears.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join to both sides;

kiln grit caught in the glaze below collar.

RESTORATION. Minor retouched paint losses to the black glaze.
