Staffordshire pottery figure of a Girl on Spaniel's back

Victorian, circa 1860. 6.7ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a girl seated on a spaniel's back,

resting directly on the ground, no base.

 

Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt embellishment.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.

Maker's marks to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

A few minor paint losses to dog's nose and tail.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to girl's cheek;

glaze run to the cobalt;

shrinkage line to the underside and reverse lower base edge.
