Staffordshire Pottery figure with a political theme which features the Duke of Wellington, stood on a shaped base.
The piece is titled, 'WELLINGTON'.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt title and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Maker's marks painted to the underside.

Good. No restoration. Flake to his draped cloak.
A few paint losses to his draped cloak and trousers.
Slight wear to his right elbow.
KILN EFFECTS: a couple of touch marks to his coat, and one to his left arm;
small firing pit to the collar of his draped cloak and to his trousers;
a couple of flecks of stray coloured glaze - one to his head, the other to the base.
