
pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 7.1ins high, 3.1ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a mythological theme
which features Bacchus, stood on a square base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
This piece represents Bacchus, the Roman God of agriculture and wine.
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the base at reverse;
glaze run to the blue glaze.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to front of base.
