Pair Staffordshire pottery flower basket spaniels

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 8.3ins high, 5.3ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire models which feature a spaniel holding a flower basket, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Russet and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Slight wear to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold line join to left side/chest.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to tail and flower basket.

Retouched paint losses.

Left facing: Good. Some paint losses to markings and flowers.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to front left paw.

Retouched paint losses to some of the markings and paws.
