Staffordshire zebra and foal spill vase (Rare)

Victorian, circa 1860. 10ins high, 7.9ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Staffordshire spill vase which features a zebra with it's foal, stood on an oval base.



Multi-coloured version. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.







Maker's marks painted to the underside.




Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Two small flakes to top of base at reverse.





KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the front and reverse, some areas slightly stained;







a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base top.





RESTORATION. Foal's head reglued and join retouched.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to zebra's left front leg.





Retouched flakes to ground.
