Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

This piece represents the character Antony in the play 'Antony and Cleopatra' by William Shakespeare. It is based on real events of ancient times, a tragedy and also a story of passionate love. It tells the story of an affair between Mark Antony, one of the three who rule Rome after the assassination of Julius Caesar, and Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt.
CONDITION: Good. A few small flakes to front and reverse hem of pink cloak.
A few paint losses to reverse of blue sash.
Slight wear to face and shoulders.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to front of blue sash and sandals.
