Staffordshire lilac cottage pastille burner
Victorian, circa 1860. 4.7ins high, 3.6ins wide, 4ins depth.
Staffordshire pastille burner which features a lilac cottage, sat on a shaped base.
Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Opening to the reverse, roof and walls.
Condition
Good. Tiny flakes/chips to flowers.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to the base and underside;
kiln soot caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to foot rim.
Retouched flake to foot rim.
