Pair Staffordshire fox & lamb spill vases

Pair of Staffordshire spill vases which feature a recumbent lamb with a fox, stood on a shaped base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Maker's marks to the underside.

Condition

Right facing: Generally good. A few paint losses to fox.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

RESTORATION. Spill reglued and join retouched.

Filled chip to left ear.

Left facing: Generally good. A few paint losses to fox.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

RESTORATION. Remodelled left front leg.

Retouched paint losses fox's muzzle and ears.
