Unframed. The sampler is worked in various threads on linen ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye.

Simple line border.

Colours red, pink, purple, orange, greens and pale blue. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-12.

Signed and dated 'Hellen Bryson 17 1823'.

CONDITION: Good. No holes. No stains other than slight uniform age darkening of the ground.

Stitch losses to the border, divider lines, letters/numbers and signature.

Colours are mostly good and strong with no noticeable fading. Pale colours difficult to read.
