Victorian, circa 1890. 11.6ins high, 11.6ins wide, 3.5ins depth.

Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features lizards and beetles.

Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

Condition

Good. Nibbles to toes.

Some small flakes to ground.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to toes and beetle's antennae.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to lizard's nose and beetle's horn.
