Victorian, circa 1890. 5.9ins high, 5.9ins wide, 2.2ins depth.

Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a snake attacking a lizard. Surrounded by moths and grubs.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Cunha pottery.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Chip to moths antennae.

Minor frits to shredded clay on rim.
