Portuguese Palissy Majolica teapot which features cabbage leaves forming the teapot and a snake forming the handle and spout.

Colouration: green, grey, brown, are predominant.
Teapot: Fair. Missing section to one leaf edge.
Small chip with associated flakes to snake's mouth.
Some tiny chips and flakes to leaf edges.
Some small flakes to rim (not visible when cover is in place).
KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the foot rim;
a few shrinkage cracks to the cabbage leaves.
RESTORATION: old retouched flakes and chips to leaf edges;
old remodelled edge to one leaf.
Cover: Generally good. Some small flakes to exterior and rim.
