Large Rare Caldas Majolica Palissy bird and snake wall charger

Victorian, circa 1890. 15.4ins high, 15.4ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall charger which features a bird beside a nest, protecting it's eggs from a snake. There is a lizard behind the bird. Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.

Condition

Good. No restoration. Chip to lizard's bottom lip.



Small flakes to ground and one to smaller lizard's nose.
