Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a snake attacking a snail, surrounded by a grub, worm, beetle and a moth.
Colouration: green, ochre, grey, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Cunha pottery. Bears a pattern number, 'No.6'.
Generally good. Small chips to beetle's legs and end of grub.
Some small, minor flakes to shredded clay,
grub and to moth's wings.
RESTORATION. Retouching under grub.
