Palissy Ware Majolica frog & snake jug/pitcher

Victorian, circa 1890. 9.8ins high, 8.5ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Palissy Majolica jug/pitcher which features ivy, oak leaves and acorns,

a snake coiled around the jug body and a frog sitting on the spout.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack around the foot.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to the rim (still slightly visible).
