Majolica corn on the cob teapot
Victorian, circa 1880. 9.1ins high, 8.7ins wide, 7.1ins depth.
Majolica teapot which features wheat and leaves to the exterior.
A corn on the cob forms finial to cover.
Colouration: green, ochre, cream, are predominant.
Condition
Teapot: Good. Small flake to handle.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the underside, causing the piece not to sit flat;
glaze run to the glazes.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to inner rim.
Cover: Good. Slight wear to finial.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the glazes;
notable crazing.
RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to inner rim.
