Hugo Lonitz Majolica partridge & chicks stand with pot
Victorian, circa 1880. 15.4ins high, 7.9ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Lonitz Majolica cache pot and stand which features a partridge and two chicks in front of an oak tree.
Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Lonitz pottery.
Condition
CONDITION: Stand: Generally good. Small flake to one acorn.
KILN EFFECT: tiny glaze pops.
RESTORATION: One acorn leaf reglued and join retouched.
Filled chips to acorns/acorn leaves, lower branch stump, spikey leaves, beak of lower chick.
Retouched flakes to ground, partridge's foot and beak, higher chick's beak.
Pot: Generally good. KILN EFFECT: glaze bubbles to the interior and exterior.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
